I got this bag for my birthday. I saw it online and I think it is even more amazing in person. It seems like it is high quality. The material inside seems easy to clean. It is a large bag but it has many pockets so that your stuff doesn’t get lost in a giant pocket. I would recommend it.

The color is not as bright and glossy. The leather is nice and the purse comes with a storage bag. Do not be fooled by the picture, the measurements are accurate but the center of the purse is lower than the outer portion and if you like to put a lot of stuff in your bag, you can’t. My standard size calendar will not fit because it is too high.

It is a beautiful bag but not enough compartments. Just one main divider compartment that sags in the middle and is very annoying. The lining is already pulling away from the bag, Im not too pleased

The bag is nice but the handels are sliding out of the rim, so at any given they slide out the bag will drop. So I have to take a minute to put it back together and also when I Get my hands on some pliers push the ring together. I shouldn’t have to do that with a new bag. The hande ormaterial surrounding th ring is tearing. I thought this was leather. Anyway I need the bag so I can’t return it.

Love it, love it, love it!!!! I get so many compliments on this purse and it is very roomy. I can fit my things in it and double it as a diaper bag at the same time. When I first did this, I thought the stitching would give out, but it didn’t and hasn’t yet (had the purse 2 months now). I can’t say enough how much I love it!

Top Purple Handbag Styles

A purple handbag is one of the most glamorous and multi-purpose fashion accessories out there. It adds flair to an everyday ensemble, is the perfect accessory to sophisticated evening wear, and is, of course, incredibly practical. If you’re going to have a clutch, bag, or purse with you so that you can fashionably carry your keys, wallet, makeup, and other odds and ends, it really ought to look good. That’s what is so great about purple handbags: they serve a practical purpose, and they look great in the process.

But there are dozens and dozens, if not hundreds, of different purple handbags to choose from. They embody many different styles, colors (handbags come in many colors from blue to red handbags), sizes, materials, and designers. Here’s a look at some of the top styles of purple handbag.

  • Purple leather handbags. These are generally not too large, done in a nice sleek leather that is treated for a classy shine and bright, vibrant color. Leather handbags often cost more, but some designers have moderately priced options for the budget-minded. (Two of the most popular are by Gucci and DC Bethany.)
  • Printed purple handbags. On the cloth side of things, printed handbags are very diverse and incredibly popular. They can be small, or can be large enough to carry books and other more practical items. Often, a printed purple handbag is very well suited to more casual occasions, and many are even handmade for a particularly funky look. However, certain styles (such as the black and purple bag by Dolce & Gabbana, or Coach’s lilac purple handbag) are just fine for more formal looks.
  • Classic purple handbags. Then there are many, many handbags that are not as formal (or expensive) as the leather bags, but more classic and professional in appearance than the more trendy, printed bags. A classic purple handbag works very well as an every day purse for today’s professional woman. Many are large enough to hold as much as you need to take with you, or small enough to carry along with a briefcase without feeling hassled or overburdened.

With so many purple handbags to choose from, there is no one style that is best. Choose what you like, and what best meets your needs, and you will have made the right decision.

The Many Uses of a Purple Handbag

Purple handbags come in so many shapes, sizes, styles, and colors that they can be used for almost any occasion imaginable. From small, discrete bags to large, multi-purpose bags, there are as many uses for a purple handbag as there are diverse shoppers who love them. Let’s look at some of the ways a purple handbag can make your life easier (and, of course, more stylish at the same time!)

Every day use.

This is, by far, the most common purpose for buying a purple handbag. Purses are so practical that men get the short end of the stick by it not being socially appropriate for them to carry one. A purple handbag for daily use comes in many different sizes, and which size you get depends on your personal aesthetic, but even more, it depends on how much you want to be carrying with you.

Some handbags are small and designed to carry little more than money, cards, and perhaps a small phone and very slim set of keys. Other handbags are huge: you can carry a huge wallet, your entire key ring, your planner, phone, phone charger, makeup, book to read if you have down time, and who knows what other odds and ends.

Take stock of what you usually would like to have around with you. If you buy a purple handbag that is too small, you will become frustrated at trying to fit things in there that you want to bring with. If you buy one that’s too large, you’re likely to over-accumulate and fill up the extra space with things you don’t really need to be carting around. So choose intelligently.

Bag inside a bag.

Some purple handbags are so small and slim that they don’t need to be your primary bag. For example, if you carry a briefcase, you can slip a small handbag inside to carry your personal effects. The same goes with laptop bags and other parcels.

Purple clutch.

For more formal occasions, the same purple handbag you normally carry in your briefcase can be carried in your hand as a clutch. This simple, elegant use of a purple handbag is convenient and sophisticated, and will never go out of style.

How Much To Spend on a Purple Handbag

Purple handbags come in so many different styles that you can pay anything from $10 to $1,500. It really all depends on what you are looking for, and how much you are willing to spend.

Lowest prices

If you do a web search for purple handbags, you will see that there are many bags listed in the $10-$20 range, but most of them are children’s bags. A Hannah Montana or Disney Princess bag may be a great deal at those prices, but of course, they’re not appropriate for most adults.

Also note that the few ladies’ bags you can find in this price range are generally not made to last. They may look stylish in the short term, so if you just want a purple handbag to match your outfit for a specific occasion, this could be a perfect solution. But if you’re looking for a sturdy purple handbag that you can use on a regular basis, you’ll want to move up to a higher price range to achieve a bit more quality of materials and construction.

Middle prices

There are many, many more women’s purple handbags in the range of $20-$40, and often you can find some pretty well designed and well constructed bags for this amount of money. Target, Chic Eve, About Trends, and Bonanzle sell dozens of great bags in this price range.

Mid-priced purple handbags are ideal for everyday use that you plan to use for a season or so. Often these are very stylish bags, which means it’s easy to afford the latest trends, but you’re not spending so much that you need it to last for a year (in many cases, you would want a new purse before then anyway, because styles have changed). A mid-priced purple handbag is a very good compromise.

High prices & Designer purple handbags

There are many good purple handbags that are high quality and built to stay that way in the range of $50-$100. If this is your budget for handbags, you will find some very well made bags, with wonderful materials, that are designed by some of the best.

Beyond that, you start entering the world of designer handbags, where anything goes. Diamonds and gold are not out of line. Versace, Balenciaga, Gucci, and Coach all can charge $400 and more for some of their finest purple handbags.

Purple Handbag Gift Ideas

It’s one thing to buy a purple handbag for yourself, but picking out the right bag for someone else can be a bit of a challenge. Whether you’re out to surprise them with a bag you know they’ll like, or whether someone has asked for a purple handbag and it’s up to you to find the right one, here are some ideas for the styles that would best suit the person on your list.

Start easy: Kids’ purple handbags

This may be fairly obvious, but a children’s purple handbag would make a great gift for, of course, a child! There are lots of kid-oriented bags. Some are plain purple made of plastic or cotton, and make a great “practice” purse for a little girl playing dress up. Others they may want to carry around with them, as some purple handbags come adorned with popular children’s characters, like Hannah Montana, the Disney Princesses, or just general puppies and kittens.

Classic Chic

If the person you’re buying for appreciates classic, professional, yet still stylish accessories, then you should opt for a classically-inspired purple handbag. The classic chic woman likes things that are well made, serve a good purpose, and simply look good.

Don’t go for anything too flashy or edgy. Instead, focusing on the quality of the materials and the construction, and finding a really good color, are a better use of your time and resources. When she opens the box to find a well made, purposefully chosen purple handbag, she’ll appreciate that you took the time to find a quality purchase that she can use in a variety of personal and professional settings.

Fashionista

Purple handbags aren’t all classic, though, and some of the day’s leading designers have some pretty edgy, flashy purple handbags for sale. If the person you’re buying for likes to stand out from the crowd and follows all the latest trends, then “go big or go home” in your shopping. Shiny leather, glamorous clasps, and a trendy contour are all good ideas for the fashionista on your list.

No matter who you’re shopping for, also use your gut instinct. If a bag has all the features you think the person likes but it just doesn’t seem like something they’d carry, don’t get it. With so many purple handbags to choose from, you will be able to find something that’s a better fit; just keep looking!

How to Pick a Purple Handbag

If you are picking out a purple handbag, whether for yourself or for someone you love, it can be overwhelming at first. There are many, many handbags out there. There are two different ways you can approach your handbag search: impulse or logical deduction.

Impulse shopping is fine if you’re shopping for yourself. After all, you know what you like. It’s fine to look around until you find the perfect purple handbag that just speaks to you.

However, if you’re buying a purple handbag for someone else, it may be difficult to make sure you get one that they like. If you shop by impulse, make sure you’re keeping their style, not yours in mind. But the following questions provide a helpful framework to help you navigate the many purple handbags that are available. Of course, shopping is never a fully logical decision; whether you like a bag is what ultimate governs your decision, but the following questions can help you narrow your choices.

  • How big should it be? Does the person tend to carry small bags, opting for minimalism and organization? Or are they that person who has a big purse with everything you could ever need inside? Are they somewhere in the middle, but usually have a book on hand for some downtime? Keep these all in mind when selecting the size of a handbag.
  • Do they prefer trendy fashion or classic style? Everyone’s a little different, Some people want purple handbags that are the freshest trend of the day; they will use it for a year or so (perhaps less) then get a new bag when the styles change.  For these people, it’s okay to get something flashy and trendy. Other women carry a bag for a long time and prefer a classic style that is fine for both personal and professional use.
  • What’s your budget? This is an obvious factor. For gift purses for an adult, a purse in the $30-$50 range is generous but not excessive. For a teenager or child, you can of course go with less. Or if it’s a special occasion or you’re working with a bigger budget, then more expensive, designers purple handbags are certainly a priority, and come in some excellent styles as well.
